To highlight Surf’s new line of summer fragrances, the creative team at adam&eveddb developed a game show style commercial script fronted by none other than Dani Dyer. With their 2022 TikTok debut featuring Gemma Collins reaching an overwhelming 13 million views, Surf’s subsequent campaign looked to continue in its campy, glamorous footsteps.

“Defining and differentiating Dani’s roles was crucial to this commercial’s success. Being able to move her from a host-like, dominant position to the classic contestant spot behind the podium was step one, whilst the glamorous, liminal prize space was a key reference for the staging of our laundry sequence. In developing these delineated spaces within the our set I worked closely with Production Designer, Rosy Thomas, to ensure that our maximalist approach to colour balanced with our minimalist build.”

Distributed both OOH and across digital channels, this tongue in cheek campaign has quickly taken the country by storm.
