Launching around World Laughter Day, BBC Creative commissioned a spoof dating show, 'Love at First Laugh', to test a simple theory: Is laughter really the key everlasting love?

"Working with Liv [Marcus] and the incredible Creative team at the BBC, we built out to the tone for 'Love at First Laugh' in a lovingly referential language. Encouraging Liv to play each take in wildly differing voices from sultry to saleswoman we were able to lean into the chaotic, slightly unhinged energy that those classic 1980's dating shows ooze."

Love at First Laugh celebrates the power of comedy, while shining a light on BBC iPlayer’s extensive content offering, from beloved classics including Gavin & Stacey and Fleabag to newer fan-favourite hits such as Daddy Issues and Juice.
